Edmonton Attacks
Vice News Canada released a news story on Monday about an man accused of perpetrating a series of attacks in Edmonton on Saturday.  In this news report and exclusive was that the Edmonton attacker was said to have been ordered deported from the U.S. It is said in the report that the man allegeded to have committed this terrorism attack is Abdullahi Hassan Sharif.
Sharif has been detained in immigration jails in the past, which is why he is suspected of this crime. He is said to have stabbed a police officer repeatedly, then proceeded to run over four pedestrians with his car, harming many people. There is debate on whether Sharif could make an asylum claim in Canada or not.
Some major points that were discussed in the report was his immigration businesses in Canada. Other offences in the past regarding Sharif's immigration, tied him the the Edmonton crime during this time. Many people in the immigration office have said that he was legally allowed into Canada around 2012.  This report really captured my attention because I really had an interest in learning about some tragic crimes that were happening close to home. From this news site, I learned a lot about the attacks going on in the world.

Thief wanted across Canada lands in St. John's, accused of targeting women on Plenty of Fish
This CBC news article caught my attention because of the  intriguing  title. It seemed like a story that would perhaps warn a lot of people about dating sites, and trusting people.
Donald John Cameron, who also is known as Donald Joseph Cameron, moved to Saint Johns from Ontario after his ex girlfriend accused him of stealing up to $15,000 dollars in cash and other valuables. She wants to warn women all over that Donald is a career criminal who targets women.
He, however, pleads his innocence and claims that his ex girlfriend is lying to ruin him. He claims that CBC news is trying to slander his name in this article. Despite these allegations, CBC news was able to find many charges that had been placed on Cameron all across Canada.  These charges consist of being convicted of identity fraud, theft, assault, and criminal harassment.
Cameron is accused of stealing from many different women using the Plenty of Fish dating site. He is also known in many occasions to take girls on dates and when they went to the bathroom, he would take their credit card information from their purse. There is a warrant out for his arrest is many places such as Halifax Nova Scotia, Saint Johns, and Charlottetown.
I think this article has a very important message, it not only warns women of this man in particular, it also warns women to be very careful with their stuff in today's society.
